Bus-Londinium-Run-Bus
Experience life.. it's a good thing to do!
And so the end of a long day shift, and a bit of packing and a first trip on a National Express coach for a very long time..
A night bus arriving in London at what would normally be considered stupid o'clock, and the use of public transport to get to my destination.. just in time for a nice 'rest'..
:-D
Ended up being a full day too.. a trip into London to meet some old colleagues and discuss work! And then off to the running club for a bit of a run..
A bit........?
HA......
7 or 8 miles at 7:15 to 7:30 pace.......
They said!
The reality was THIS
9 miles
1:02:44
6:57 min/mile
AvHR 183 (borrowed a chest strap!)
| Mile | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
| Pace | 7:10 | 6:18 | 6:49 | 6:53 | 7:04 | 6:56 | 7:01 | 7:21 | 7:10 |
| AvHR | 161 | 108 | 182 | 185 | 185 | 184 | 187 | 183 | 186 |
| Time | 7:10 | 13:28 | 20:18 | 27:11 | 34:15 | 41:11 | 48:13 | 55:34 | 1:02:44 |
best thing about it? It was quick - too quick at the moment in miles 2 and 3 - but the hill at mile 7 (ish) took me to the front of the second group.
I LIKE hills!
:-D
as Karen said.. It's not often we lose someone off the *front* of the group!!
So the regular club bloke who was behind me kept shouting directions so that I didn't get lost.
They were a reet friendly bunch, and this in the end was a good 'effort' session!
Interestingly, it seems to have really loosened my legs up too.
Calves feel good, top of my quads are much looser.. No twinges anywhere!
Excellent.
Today has been mad busy too.. important letters and miscellaneous correspondence to sort out - another trip to see colleagues in the centre of the city, and a gentle potter across town to catch my bus.
It's great.. Someone else doing the driving, and costing less than driving too!

Heee! That's the CRC2 - Club Run Calculator - take 30 secs off the pace and add 50% to the distance ;0)
Tis known as 'the friendly running club' too!
