Friday - Quiet Reflection

This has been a week of many emotional places for me..

Happiness..
Certainty..
Friendship..
Worry..
Concern..
Sadness..
Unconditional Love..

and all of these things have related to the people who are most important in my life in one way or another at some point this week...

My children..
My beautiful lady..
My closest and dearest friend..
The truly amazing individuals that I have had the privilege of meeting and getting to know recently (and you know me - if I think something I just HAVE to say it!)..
My true friends both 'real' and 'virtual'..
My family..

It is so easy to get caught up in the mundain, in the little irrelevances that seem to infiltrate our lives, and for us to lose sight of the fact that we only have one life.. And we owe it to ourselves to live it to the full and with a child-like abandon. And who better to illustrate that than.......

..my children!!

Two simple examples of this..
A visit from 3 of my friends early in the week, two of whom they had never met, all of whom I think are simply THE BEST.. No shyness or awkwardness, they just leapt into full on play and fun. And my children are a VERY sensitive 'wary-ness-ometer'. They recognise good people and respond in kind..

Then the simple act of spending time with someone you love.. In this case going to the park and then swimming. There was an animation to my children that was a joy to behold. They were simply in the company of someone they adore, and their faces shone!

They give 100% to the things they do and they really live..

So should we..!!
